A Fellow Seeking Believer, Kirk Grano

I'm a young believer, recently graduated from college. I come from a middle-class working family in Chicago, IL. Passing through the various levels of public institutions, I've become aquainted with a wide variety of people. Most of these people have had some thought of God. Even some were very seeking believers. However, from my contact with them, I could see that they did not seem to be fully satisfied with either the truth they received or the people with whom they met.

I've met with the local church in Chicago now for about 15 years. I have received a tremendous amount of light concerning the scriptures. I'm writing this as a testimony of my deep appreciation to the ministries of both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee for opening up the truth in the Bible. Without their ministry, I don't think I would be even remotely interested in the Bible.

A Thankful Note

Through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee I have received an enormous amount of help. The books they have written and the messages they have spoken have taken my Christian life to another level. Specifically, through these two brothers, I have received Christ. It's not that I would have never experienced Christ without them, but it's that I would have never experienced and known Christ to such a great level.

I would like to give a small illustration. In the Recovery Version of the New Testament Witness Lee gives an excellent footnote on the genealogy of Christ. When reading the genealogy of Christ, or for that matter, anyone's genealogy, I don't get any special feeling. However, Witness Lee points out that in verse 5 of Matthew chapter one, Rahab the harlot is mentioned. Would you believe that such a one as Rahab the harlot is mentioned in Christ's genealogy? Witness Lee says that it doesn't matter who we are or what our situation is. As long as we have a heart that seeks God, we can be accepted into His birthright. This is so encouraging! No matter who we are or what we have done, if we repent and turn our heart back to God, He will accept us.

This is just one note of the many words with which I have been helped by their ministry. I and thankful to the Lord because this ministry has given me spiritual food and drink to feast on Christ.
